Add Google maps to your local area blog posts. People love interactive maps and they can add value when embedded in your localized blog posts.  How can you get a localized map for your blog? Go to http://maps.google.com/ and generate a map based on local area searches. For example if you are blogging about your local schools a good map to create would be a map that includes schools around your area. To accomplish this do a search for schools in your city such as “San Luis Obispo CA schools”.

Now that you have the desired map results Google makes it really easy to get a code snippet of the map for placing in your blog. From the map results click the “link to this page” hyperlink and copy/pase the HTML code Google provides into your blog.
